Cataracts and Color – Part Two

It’s been a trippy kinda time these last few days.  The cataract on my right eye was removed successfully but I still have the one on my left eye…it’s become a kind of ‘push me, pull me’ type of vision that has replaced my relatively poor vision.  I’ve had to dig out a few pair of old glasses, all of them with purple frames, to try and correct the vision distortions.  The doc looked at it on Thurs. and said that the ‘arc’ I was seeing was normal, the eye was still a bit swollen, but that by the weekend it should be better.  It has improved a wee bit but I’m still feeling off balance without some kind of glasses on.  I’m trying to decide which eye to favor, however and it’s a real pain to figure out which one I should stick with until the next operation on the 21st.  OK…the whiny bit is over and onward we shall go.

Today I raided the neighbor’s yard…the one who just locked up and walked away from her home of 30+ years…I figure the bank or the loan company or the neighbor won’t miss the apple blossoms I helped myself to this morning.  I had a bit of fun playing with Lightroom and Photomatrix trying to get a different look with that shiny little green vase I got at GoodWill.  Not sure if I’m liking the HDR touch or not but you can decide for yourself…leave a comment either pro or con…I LOVE hearing what others think.

I think I’ll link this up to Kim Klassen’s Start to Finish workshop since that’s my motivation for taking photos every day!
